The other day I was at the driving range at Moundbuilders Country Club and a red tail hawk flew down and sat on the 75 yardage post. My buddies and I were admiring the majestic bird the way he just sat there looking for his prey. Tony Fox decided to see if he could make the bird move by hitting a ball close to him and what happened next was rather amusing, the hawk decided to try and capture the range ball for his prey. The bird tried and tried to pick up that range ball but could not sink his claws into the ball. Tim Pickering then fired several balls in the direction of the bird and each and every time the hawk flew over to the ball and tried to pick it up, one time trying to capture it in mid-air.
We were not sure what the hawk thought his dinner for the day was going to be, but he sure must have been hungry!

Wind, Wind, Wind
Off go the lights, on go the lights, off go the lights, on go the lights, then here comes the wind! That was quite a little storm the roared through this afternoon. The trees in the backyard were really back and forth. I had to go out and fold up the umbrella over the table on the deck, it was ready to go to Kansas! The lights then when out for good. Luke looked up at me and said "daddy on" :)
We survived, one tree down and lots of limbs down, but we are all safe and power came back on a few hours latter.
Up early for Rotary tomorrow!

Improve my communication skills
I am now blogging! My communications have a little bit to be desired so I have decided to try to improve my writing skills by blogging.
My wife just asked me what I intend to blog about and I have absolutely no idea what I am going to say or what I am going to talk about, but as I told her, I am a very intelligent person and I guess I will just let that intelligence flow out of my head into this blog :)
My day was spent working on accounting to close up my past life at Oprandi Staffing Solutions and trying to find a new career somewhere. I have a great deal of experience to give to a new employer and everyday I am gaining more confidence as I look back on the many things that I have accomplished. I was 22 when my father and I ventured out into the staffing business. The past 28 years dealt me many ups and a fews downs, but I did it. I ran a multi-million dollar company that put thousands and thousands of people to work.
Have to go now, but I will be back sharing my thought and improving my communication skills :)
